What is a Life Coach? FAQsWhat is a Life Coach? Many people ask "What is a Life Coach?" Life coaching is bold and magical as it empowers, shifts and changes your life. It is a partnership. Life Coaching provides the environment for you to look at where you are in life and acts as a vehicle to help take you to where you truly desire to go.It allows space for you to see your greatest vision, to see the potential for the biggest life you can lead, and through powerful questions and processes, it helps you to walk into your fullest self. Imagine having someone fully present, totally listening, creating the space for you to find your own answers.
How does Life Coaching differ from Counseling or Therapy?Therapy and counseling often look to the past for answers. Life Coaching does not look to the past, rather it helps clients acknowledge where they are currently and looks to what they want in the future.
Who Hires a Life Coach?
What happens in a Life Coaching Session?Life coaching focuses on the client's agenda. It is up to the client to pick the topic for each session. Depending upon the topic, there are various ways a session can go. No two sessions are ever alike. There is not a formula. I use various tools and techniques, (i.e. a focus wheel, envisioning exercises, brainstorming) depending upon the needs and goals of the client and topic.Sessions are powerful and there is often a shift that happens in each session. There is usually homework that coach and client design, because we believe most growth and change happens inbetween coaching sessions.
